Demand Increases for Divorce & Family Mediation
FMACS (The Family Mediation & Counselling Service) is responding to demands by more and more new clients in the Warwickshire and Leicestershire area. Based on the borders between both counties, FMACS has already seen an increase in demand for its services. “We have decided to sponsor new mediators as they complete their specialist training” explains Jerry Howells, Director.
Three New Mediators
“We have a number of highly qualified and experienced mediators, all of whom come from different walks of life and bring so many different skills to the service”, he continues “The training and accreditation process takes time and we have committed to support 3 new mediators”. They are currently going through the family specialism training and will participate in cases to observe and gain valuable skills and experience.
The new mediators will compliment our existing team and bring valuable experience drawn from their extensive and successful careers. Amongst the new team are professionals from Occupational Therapy and a Blue Chip HR executive.
We are also pleased to have Dr. Lesley Allport as our practice PPC (Professional Practice Consultant). Lesley brings with her many years of mediation experience and as well as being on the Board of the College of Mediators, she works closely with the whole team at FMACS. She will also mediate for the practice on family cases and particularly those involving direct contact with children.
The Family Mediation & Counselling Service whose base is near Nuneaton now has outreach meeting facilities in several towns and cities including Coventry and Leicester. Meetings can be arranged in Rugby, Atherstone, Kenilworth, Warwick, Coleshill, Leamington Spa, Stratford upon Avon and Coalville.
All our mediators belong to the College of Mediators and the Family Mediation Council. They abide by and work to the Code of Practice of the Family Mediation Council. All hold professional indemnity insurance to a minimum level of £1m.
